Breakers Win First Game Of The Season

The New Zealand Breakers have started the season perfectly with a score of 76-71 against the Melbourne United. The game was close for the first three quarters, with the two teams having a turn each at taking the lead. However, in the final quarter the Breakers shot ball extremely well to score a total of 28 points for the win. The Breakers shooting guard Corey Webster scored a total of 11 points which included a treble of three pointers while their wingman Tom Abercrombie drained 14 points, both in the final 10 minutes. The Breakers, run-up in their last season, showed that they will be a forced in this years competition.
