For the past whole week my class have been working on a book and the author of the book, which is called GooseBumps. My group done it about the author who was called R.L Stine. He is pretty old and he also wear's glasses.
I done the character study and my friend called Matali did the books he had wrote and Gloria done it on when did he First invent GooseBumps. I think my slide was the best out of all of them, I also done the title with slappy the dummy for the book. When we had finished the writing on our Chromebooks we had to write something off one of our slide and when we had finished that we had to put it on a black piece of cardboard that 2 girls painted. This boy called Samuel was good at drawing so that made it easy for his group to get pictures, He drawed Slappy The Dummy, Frankenstein and This Zombie looking kind of thing.
At the end it looked very cool with everyone's work that got glued on.

Getting Two New Notes
On Saturday Me, my little sister, My dad and my little brother went to Otara to get some meat from the meat shop and buy some other stuff.
When we were out in Otara we had to go get the meat but they didn’t have any good meat so we went to this which was kind of like pak n save and countdown to get some more meat with tin foil and other stuff. When we finished getting the meat we were driving past an Ice-Cream shop and my dad asked my sister if she wanted an Ice-Cream and she said yes, so I had to buy it with my $30. When I walked in my sister was happy and she asked for some lollies that were there too so I bought her that as well. As soon as I got my sisters Ice-Cream which was the berry bliss she ran straight back to the car and I was waiting for mine, I got the goody goody gum drop and orange chocolate chip, I bought my dad one to and the flavor I got him was Lemon and lime because that would have been sad eating a cold ice cream in a warm day without your dad having one when he is the one getting out of the car and in.
Then we went to the shops and I bought me some hot chips, lollies and a drink. When I got my change I got the new Five dollars and Ten dollars. Then when we went home my uncle was there, When we walked in my sister showed my uncle her wallet and he gave her ten dollars and I tried to steal it out of her wallet when ever she leaves it her bag or when she is doing something. Once I told her that I will give her my two dollars because it was more the her money and she gave it, than a minute later she told my mum that I have her ten dollars and she told me to give it back to her.
Then I started playing the PS4 (GTA 5) and I was annoying people online with the microphone and they got angry and left my lobby, I Had a fun day on Saturday.

Touch Rugby Lessons
Today (Was our last day of touch) and the last three weeks, our school from Rooms 6 to 12 have been doing touch lessons with our new coach called Trevor. We also had a game of touch.
It was cool getting taught how to play the real proper ways of playing touch, and some skills to do while in an actual touch game against other people. We have learnt lots of skills for those three weeks and they all might help us in the future.
The only proper way that I learnt was Plant and that is when you put the ball under your legs and not roll it, just leave it in one spot and step over it then step back. Then we had a race in 3 teams, Our coach Trevor gave the 3 groups a ball each and we had to pass it to the person next to you and the person had to run to the front of the line and pass to the next person. Then we done the same one but we had to zigzag between every person in line and pass it to the next one. Then we played a passing game which is sort of like Pig, Donkey or whatever you want to call it and if you drop the ball you have to go in the middle.
I liked being taught all of those things because of coach taught us the best games to do when you are training for touch and also our coach was funny. Thanks to Trevor we all know how to play proper touch.

UB40
The reason I chose UB40 is because my dad got me into their music by listening to it while he drinks his beer or when he goes out in the van. I also choose the UB40 because they have nice and calm music to listen to while doing something and also can put you to sleep at night.
The UB40 had made lots of songs and some sound like reggae songs to me a bit just like how Bob Marley sings his song. I also like the beats of their music and how it’s a group that makes that beat and someone sings the song. There are 6 people in the band and most of them speak the same language and come from the same country, the both country they come from are Birmingham and the United Kingdom. The band started advertising themselves before they even owned any instruments. Posters of UB40 were put up all over Birmingham by two of the founding members, Ali Campbell and Brian Travers.
The 6 people’s name Ali Campbell, Duncan Campbell, Robin Campbell, Astro, Horman Hassan, Brian Travers, Maxi Priest, Earl Falconer, James Brown and Michael Virtue. The best song they have ever recorded in history is called Red Red Wine and this is the link to the song (Red Red Wine).
I hope you liked reading about my favorite band and how I got in to them.

New Zealand Celebrates Guy Fawkes
New Zealand collectively celebrated Guy Fawkes last night with Police and the Fire Service dealing with dozens of calls across the country. Three people were injured by fireworks two of them were seriously. Firefighters responded to more than twice the number of fireworks call-outs than last year in what they say was a very disappointing night. Guy Fawkes occurs on the 5th November each year. Fireworks are only allowed to be purchased by those over 18 and stores can only sell them for four days.

For Halloween I might be a Patrick the star or cookie monster. I might be those 3 because they are funny and cool. Patrick is from a funny and cool cartoon called SpongeBob SquarePants. Patrick is the most funniest one in that cartoon. I choose cookie monster aswell because is is the most funniest in the cartoon called Sesame Street. Cookie Monster Is funny in that cartoon because when he hears cookie he eats it.

Watching All Blacks Against France RWC!
Yay!!! We watched the All Blacks versus France. My dad went to make a bet at the TAB, and when he got home I asked him who he placed his bet on and he said "France". Then I made a bet with him and my bet was that if The All Blacks beat France then he had to give me $50 and if I lost the bet then he gets to take my PS3 and PS4 into the shop. Julian Savea |

SHAKEOUT DRILL
Today at 9:15 a.m we had a Shakeout Drill so we can be prepared for an earthquake. We were working hard and then we heard our bell ring 3 times, so we stopped doing our work, and we had to get under our desks.
When my class went under our desks. We just talked the whole time waiting for the bell to ring 3 times again. We were having fun under our desk, and then when the bell rang another 3 times we had to get out from under our desk.

Myron Simpsons
Myron Simpson is a professional bike racer and came to Ruapotaka school today.
He told us all sorts of things. He brought his bike which costs $15,000. He brought in all of his gear that he needs for when he is racing in a tournament. Myron won a silver medal in the world championships in Mexico, 2007.The fastest he has ever gone on his bike is 110 kilometers.
His racing helmet was spray painted by his uncle. His equipment are all aerodynamic such as his helmet, carbon-fibre wheels, shoes and his skin suit. He started riding a bike when he was 3 years old, he got tought how to ride one because his brothers helped him. When he was 3½ years old he took off his training wheels and started riding without them. He started competing for N.Z when he was eight years old. He started his own company called Myron’s Muesli and you can only purchase it online and not in the supermarket.

Hair Cutting Day
On Saturday my dad said he needed a haircut so I said I’d give him one.
Dad said he wanted “Anything that I can cut” so I cut him a baldie. I started shaving it off with number 3 but mum told me to cut it with a number 1. When I finished cutting it I had to help my mum clean up while my dad was having a shower. I had fun cutting my dad’s hair.
